Was Adam and Jesus Brothers?

It's a wonderful day we are living in. Today is unlike any other day that has ever been known. The closest day that you could say that we have ever had to this day was the first appearance of the Son of God in Jesus Christ. He was a man unlike any other man that we have ever known. He manifested not only the finest uplifted humanity that has been known; but He also manifested the fullness of what God is. Today we are beginning to have glimpses of another man who is the fullness of all that God is. We are beginning to see another man appear in this day as the manifestation of the Son of God. However, this man is not an individual man. This man is a corporate man.

What, then, is a corporate man. In order to be a corporate man you have to have been you would have to be procreated by God. Adam was a corporate man because God breathed into Him the breath of life. Tus, Adam became the first corporate Son of God to walk this earth. When the angel came to Mary and told her about Jesus and she said, "Be it done unto me even as you have spoken" the Holy Spirit of God overshadowed her and she became pregnate with the only begotton Son of God. He was both, god and man!

Let me share something that most don't realize. In Gen. 3:6, it says,

"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

I want you to notice that Adam was with Eve when she partook of the forbidden fruit and she gave it to him to eat. Paul said in 1 Tim. 2:13-14,

"For Adam was first formed, then Eve.    And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."

Adam was not deceived as was Eve. Adam must have observed what happen to Eve when she sinned by partaking of the fruit but he chose to protect her by eating of the fruit also full well knowing that God had said that in the day that he ate of the fruit he would surly die. Well, Eve ate of the fruit and she didn't die so Adam chose to protect her. This forshadows what Jesus did by offering up His life, (blood) and dying so that we might live.

Why didn"t Adam and Eve die immediately when they sinned? Peter said in 2 Peter 3:8,

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

Adam lived to be 930 years old which according to what Peter said would be less than a day as the Lord counts time. It is also interesting to note that no man has ever lived one of the Lord's day. Methuselah came the closes to living that long but he died when he was 969 years.

I would like to make a very profound statement here. There have only been two God men that have walked this earth. Adam and Jesus! The reason for this is because they were corporate men. In the eyes of God we were in Adam and when he sinned we came under the control of sin because he was the head of our corporate body. We did nothing to become sinners! I want you to realize this statement; WE DID NOTHING TO BECOME SINNERS!!

Adam was birthed by God. Gen. 2:7 says,

"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."

Adam was a Son of God because God breathed life into Adam and became his Father. All who followed after Adam were of Adam's decent. Thus, when Adam sinned by disobeying a direct command of God, all who followed after Adam were subject to the sin that Adam committed even though we did not sin in like manner.

Paul said in Roman's 5:12-14,

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned"
(For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come."

Because Adam was a Son of God he stood as a representative of all mankind until the appearance of Jesus the only begotten Son of God. Jesus was the only Son of God born of a woman. Thus He became the only God-Man to ever walk this earth.

When Jesus was born of a virgin He became the second corporate man whose name was Jesus, Immanuel, God with us, and when He died on the cross we died with Him because in God's eyes we were in Him when He arose from the grave to die no more, we were in Him and rose with Him. The Corporate Man of Adam died on that cross with Jesus and when Jesus rose from the grave The Corporate Man of Christ rose with Him.

Just as we did nothing to receive our status as sinners because we were in the one who sinned, even so we did nothing to receive our status as righteousness because we were in the one who is righteous.

Paul explains this in Rom. 5:8-21,

'Wuch more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord."

Paul is saying here that it was Adam that sinned and as a result sin and death came upon all men even though they didn't disobey the direct commandment of God as Adam did, but because Adam represented them. Thus it was through Adam that sin and death gained control of mankind. Adam was a shadow or a figure of Jesus and because of his disobedience sin and death came upon all men.

Sin and death reigned until Moses and then through Moses God gave the Law and the Law actually brought sin alive. Paul said in Rom. 7:7-12,

"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."  But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good."

The Law was given so that sin might be revealed and we would be able to know what it is. This all happened until grace appeared in a baby born of a virgin in Bethlehem by the name of Jesus. He was the second Adam in that God was His Father. When Jesus fulfilled all of the Law by living a perfect life, He was worthy to offer up as a sacrifice for all of mankind His life, (Blood) on the cross.

When He did this He nailed the Law to the cross and brought into effect God's grace in which we now live. Paul said in Col. 2:14-15, Jesus was,

'Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;& triumphing over them in it."

Paul said in Rom. 10:4,

"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."

Paul said in Gal. 3:11-14,

'But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.   And the law is not of faith: but, The man that does them shall live in them.   Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:   That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."

Paul said in 1 Cor. 15:56,

'The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law."

Even in the light of all this evidence men want to be governed by Law! In our churches we teach laws, rules and all manner of regulations in order for us to go to heaven! In spite of the following scriptures:

John said in Jn. 1:12-13,

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

Paul said in Rom. 6:14,

'For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace."

Paul also said in Eph. 2:8-9,

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:   Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Here is where we have been deceived and brought back under Law is by the fact that there are many things we must learn to in order to become mature in the Lord. We have taken these things and made them Laws and have taught men that if they fail to master them they will not be saved and will not go to heaven when they die. This is taught besides all the scriptures that I have given to you that say we are saved by our faith. We have been taught that we will be saved by our works!

Whether or not that we will ever be able to be classed as those who have overcome will be determined by our works and how well we have been able to discipline ourselves by the word of God but it will not determine our being saved. We are saved by our faith in what Jesus Christ accomplished. Our being saved is a done deal and was settled some two thousand years ago when Jesus died on the cross!

Peter said in Acts 3:19-21,

'Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:    Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began."

God is going to restore order to this creation and the last enemy against this order is death. Death means to be separated from. In this case it means that which occurred when Adam disobeyed God. Death came upon all men. We became separated from God in our minds. In our minds we thought we were something different than what God is! This brought natural death to our bodies.

Paul said in 1 Cor. 15:25,

'For he (Christ) must reign, till he has put all enemies under His feet.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."

This will affect all men! Peter said in 2 Peter 3:9,

'The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

And Paul said in Phil. 2:9-11,

"Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Be aware that your mind is going to resist your thinking along these lines because you have accepted and believed that your salvation is dependant upon you being able to live perfectly according to the letter of the Law. I had to meditate on these and other scriptures for a long time and the Holy Spirit had to open my eyes to a lot of things before it became clear to me. As it became clear to me my understanding of the tremendous love that God has for His children and that He is not willing that any be lost.
